Anthony McKenzie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Building Surveying from South Bank University, London. He became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1987. He began his career at the London Borough of Lewisham, where he managed projects and consulted on various schemes as a Project Surveyor.
In 1991, Anthony became a Director at Hamlyn’s Chartered Surveyors, gaining experience across various surveying roles. In 1993, he joined New Islington & Hackney Housing Association, overseeing large housing estates and managing construction works, property inspections, and remedial works.
Anthony has also served as an Expert Witness/Disrepair Surveyor for the London Boroughs of Hackney and Islington, specialising in housing disrepair. He later worked as a mortgage consultant and consultant valuer with Bradford & Bingley and Cheltenham & Gloucester.
In 2006, he established his own surveying firm, providing diverse surveying services to companies and housing associations. Anthony joined Capital Chartered in 2019, where he has conducted numerous building surveys, valuations, expert witness reports, and party wall awards. As Managing Surveyor, Anthony brings his extensive experience to lead our team, delivering bespoke surveying and valuation services across London and the South East.
Darshan Shah leads Capital Chartered’s Industrial Consulting Division, focusing on plant, machinery, and equipment valuations. His background with multinational firms, including Knight Frank, Mott MacDonald, and Dun & Bradstreet, has honed his expertise in technical due diligence and industrial asset valuations. Darshan’s strategic leadership ensures comprehensive consultancy services for various industrial clients.

With a distinguished career at LSH, Cluttons, and Colliers CRE, Hugh Tippett brings extensive experience in valuations and lease advisory. At Capital Chartered, he focuses on valuations for probate, dispute resolution, and market rent assessments. Hugh’s comprehensive understanding of the London market ensures clients receive accurate and reliable advisory services.
Andrew Gray is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with over 30 years of experience in plant and machinery valuation. His work spans more than 65 countries, covering sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, and general manufacturing. Andrew’s global expertise ensures precise and industry-specific valuation services.
As a Chartered Construction Manager and Engineer, Tue Lehrmann has a background in architectural consultancy. With a degree in Architectural Technology and Construction Management, he has been involved in prestigious projects since 2004. At Capital Chartered, Tue oversees measured surveys and land registry drawings, offering detailed technical expertise for various projects.
